Loretta C. Wells’ duties as Thornton Township Clerk are an essential part of township government. As the official custodian of Thornton Township records, Clerk Wells safeguards, preserves, and manages all documents and information for the public record and public access, ensuring transparency.

The Thornton Township Senior Transportation Department has been serving the community since 1983. We offer curb-to-curb services from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for people ages 60 or older.

Ms. Henyard made history in April 2021 as the first African American female and youngest mayor of Dolton, securing over 82% of the vote. The young trailblazer now makes history as the first African American female Supervisor of Thornton Township.
