I have been sitting on this since 2019 because every time I try to enter the transaction I get faulty results. Can anyone tell me how to enter the Wabtec spin-off? I get 1 share of Wabtec for every 186 shares of GE stock.

In this account, I had 300 shares of GE which should result in 1.6113 shares of WABTEC yet the dividend shown on my 1099 was only $78.06. The same happened with an account there with 850 shares of GE. It should have resulted in 4.56535 shares of WABTEC, a dividend of $356.12 but the 1099 only shows $312.24 (the exact value of 4 share).

Hi @Bearwithhawk, Distibutions from an S Corp received by an owner are not necessarily taxable and therefore should be recorded as an potential adjustment to the Quicken account that was established to reflect the S Corp ownership.

I suggest you enter the employer contribution as an earnings entry on the paycheck reminder with a non-taxed category and use a pre-tax entry to transfer the contribution to the HSA account.
