Canon Printer Icon on desktop - Windows 10 desktop and laptop
Jul 20, 2017 · I installed a Canon MX882 printer and a nice icon appeared on the desktop. If one clicks on the icon, it opens up four more icons for individual actions such as scan, fax, etc. I just purchased an HP Omen desktop and installed the same printer but the icon did not install on the desktop. Again, the computer is running Windows 10.

Apr 21, 2018 · Instead find the software program that came with the scanner such as Epson Scan or HP Scan etc. and make a shortcut to that. When you click on that, the program will open the scanner and be able to scan after you select the settings. Installing the drivers and software correctly would have already put the shortcut on the Apps list.

Dec 11, 2021 · I had a perfectly working new Canon DR-C230 scanner, installed on my HP, Windows 10, desktop. Then I accepted the Windows 11 update. That was the end of using a great scanner. I updated the drivers, still not working, after a few hours of messing with the scanner, the drivers, and the OS. I guess I'm not alone. &^%$#@!!!
