Mar 9, 2018 · After chatting to B2X (Microsoft's official customer service for mobile devices) they told me they don't sell them. They only replace it if your phone is magically still in warranty after all this time. And advised to buy them from MS stores (can't see any that sell them) and gave examples of 3rd party retailers (mostly US).

In about 3 hours, I had 28% battery left. My previous phone was a Lumia 928 and it could go all day with more usage.

It is 7:45am. I have been awake for 2.25 hrs, and the phone has been unplugged for that long. I am at 43% battery life.

Over the past few months I have a rapid battery drain which seems to be related to Phone App and People App. I can lose a 30% - 50% charge on a phone call lasting less than 1 hour.

They are out there for purchase. Try searching for "BV-T5E" as that is the exact model name for the battery used in the Lumia 950.

The overheating and random restart issue that is well know in the Lumia 950xl phone has caused a chemical reaction inside the battery. The battery has failed and it will not able to hold its stated power charge.
