Sep 11, 2022 · PS3 Slim is the best combination of reliability and performance. Superslim uses less power but feels very cheap in comparison to Slim. PS3 Fat is the most iconic and collectible of course, but tends to be hard to maintain and is the least reliable.

Jun 2, 2020 · In my experiences owning several ps3 The slim CECH21XX and CECH25XX were some of the more decent slim consoles I've owned. But I would say the CECH20XX and CECH 21XX were better imo. My CECH2501A started overheatong one day, but I replaced the paste under the CPU and GPU and on top of the chips the console ran perfectly after that.

Jan 19, 2023 · Well the slim obviously is the nicer looking console. Me personally I never bought a PS3 until late back in 2013. I have a super slim. The super slim doesn't look as great and it looks cheaper. There is one feature I do like though. I love the sliding disc tray. I think it's pretty neat. Plus less electronic parts means less things can go wrong.

Aug 17, 2018 · The only reason I would ever consider a fat PS3 over a slim would be if we were talking about one of the first-gen versions with backwards-compatibility support for PS2. If it is not one of these models then the advantages of the slims (and super slims) far outweigh the fats.

I tried looking up online if I can put it vertical, but I only found either mixed results or conversations that went off topic. Will putting it vertical cause any problem? Aug 7, 2018 · Yes the original PS3 runs PS2 games pretty much perfectly because there's a complete PS2 on the motherboard,the components that allowed for very good PS1 compatibility on the FAT PS2 are not present in the chips that are on the PS3 motherboard because the PS2 chips on the OG PS3 are taken from the late slim models that relied on pure PS1 ...

Oct 19, 2020 · Don't delid a ps3 slim, The delid is only necessary on ps3 fat. The ps3 slim had a die shrink on both the gpu and cpu compared to the fat models, which basically took it from 90nm to 65-40nm depending on your model. This made the cpu and gpu more efficient thermally.
