NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Missouri Tigers and Iowa Hawkeyes finally get to make up for a missed opportunity on Monday at the Music City Bowl. The teams originally were set to play each other here in 2020 when Missouri was hit hard by COVID-19 cases, canceling the game. Iowa got here in 2022 and shut out Kentucky, but this will be Missouri's first trip to the bowl sponsored by TransPerfect.

The Missouri Tigers added yet another talented transfer prospect this week, landing a commitment from former West Virginia offensive tackle Johnny Williams IV.

The Missouri Tigers capped off their 2024 season with a win in the Music City Bowl, beating the Iowa Hawkeyes. With that, the Tigers finished the season with 10 wins on the season. That Music City Bowl came down to a kick with under five minutes left in the game when Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz put faith in his kicker, Blake Craig, to make a 56-yard bomb to take the lead. From the second toe hit leather, it was a kick Craig drilled. He was able to do that, despite blacking out during the game-winning kick, as Craig would admit while speaking to the media after the game.

Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers have not only put together consistently strong recruiting classes, but have continued to stay on top of the transfer portal and acquire elite talent.
